March 29, 2022 - Residents of remote Barangay Kalungunan in the municipality of Piagapo benefitted from the joint outreach program of the military, town’s Rural Health Unit, and of the municipal local government unit, this morning. Free services offered:

The community outreach program was held at the ground of Kalungunan Primary School and was led by LTC Fernando L. Payapaya, INF (GSC) PA, Commander of the 51IB, 1ID, PA, Dr. Rasmia Lawi, Municipal Health Officer of Piagapo, and Piagapo Vice Mayor Ali L. Sumandar. Also present in the event were Kalungunan Barangay Captain Salahoden B. Abduljabbar, Barangay Captains Rex Limgas and Monaoray Amer of Barangays Lininding and Udalo, respectively.
Meanwhile, community leaders and local officials of Barangay Kalungunan expressed their full support to the continuation of the halted construction of Kalengenan-Lininding road in a peace dialogue held at the barangay multi-purpose building. The said dialogue was facilitated by LTC Payapaya and VM Sumandar, and Deputy Mayor on Islamic Affairs Aleem Mostafa Panganting.
It is remembered that sometimes in January this year, the road construction was stopped due to shooting incidence leaving 2 construction workers dead and 1 other injured.
